How to Look Stylish

Hello, it’s been a while. I realize that the title seems pompous, what I mean to share are a few tips and tricks I have collected over the years that I think make you immediately look stylish. These are tiny adjustments that really take no time but can have a huge effect on your overall look.

1. Shoes

It is amazing the effect shoes have on the entire vibe of your look. If you don’t believe me try it for yourself, stand in front of the mirror and try any outfit with a pair of white sneakers vs a pair of boot heels or mules or loafers. You immediately look more put-together, like you put in more effort and more “stylish”. This is a really easy way to elevate any simple outfit or outfits that you love but might be a little bored with.

2. Hair

What I said for shoes might be even more true for hair. Hair is the first accessory on any person, both for importance and because it is the first thing we see, and being so close to the face, the one we concentrare on the most. While shoes determine the vibe of the outfit, hair determines the vibe of the person, this will show to what extent you embody your look, if it truly is your style or if you are just dipping your toes into a new aesthetic. Even if you are just wearing sweats but your hair is too the nine, you will still look good.

See how totally the vibe changes for each of these pictures even though you can barely see their clothes.
3. Color

Color is a very easy way to take control over your look. Any monochromatic outfit screams stylish, I assume it has something to do with the visual pleasure given to the eye in seeing perfect harmony between the pieces

4. Sweatsuits

Sweatsuits can be great, they’re comfy, they’ve had a massive resurgeance and can be very cool in streetwear inspired outfits but to me they never seem quite as polished as other types of garments. Knitwear lounge sets, silk pajama style sets and even trousers with a camisole can be just as comfortable but really give you an air of sophistication that sweats can never achieve.

5. Outerwear

In the cold weather months, outerwear is often the only thing people see of your outfit. So if you want to look stylish try switching it up with novel cuts and colors, and please, forget about that puffer with the hood, so blah/trendy. We can all do better.

And that’s all I have, let me know what you focus on when you want to look really stylish!
